ABOUT ME After ten years of practising many different schools of yoga I trained as a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher and a Healing Arts Therapy Practitioner, in Cambodia, in 2008. Since then I have worked with a wide range of groups and individuals. In 2010 I came home with my family to my beloved Herefordshire where I continue to share the joys of Kundalini Yoga and Creative Arts for Healing. Georgie’s presence as a teacher is well-balanced between encouragement and reassurance. She is intuitive and kind, and the pace of sessions is just right. The music used in the sessions contributes very strongly to a surge of energy and a lifting of the spirit, especially during the more difficult postures, when the music can open a feeling of blissfulness. On a Monday evening I do not always feel like turning out, but I am compelled to, as doing the yoga feels like a rush of pure goodness. I am also a birth and post-natal doula, or birth partner, and a breastfeeding peer supporter so please visit my pregnancy and birth pages for more information on how I can help you. It has been said that doulas are the best pain relief out there! At first glance Healing Spirits is just me, Georgie. In reality, Healing Spirits includes everyone who has ever joined me over the years on my personal and professional journey through yoga, meditation and healing: my own teachers; all the children who have taught me so much while learning with me; the mothers who have inspired me; all of my students who have trusted me to hold their space. And of course, my husband James, and my greatest teachers ever, my children, Jemima and Arabella and baby Solomon. I hope this journey will soon include you too. As you explore my site you will see that I strongly believe that yoga is a gift that everyone should have the chance to experience. Open or tailored classes of all levels and abilities enable students to explore, develop and deepen their practice step by step, in a safe and sacred space. Combining yoga and meditation with fun, expressive, creative arts with all children from tots to teenagers is one of the most rewarding ways to spend an hour that you could possibly imagine. As a mother of two young girls, accompanying women on their journey through pregnancy into motherhood is an honour that I greatly value. If you are looking for private therapeutic classes, or have specific needs, physical or emotional, I would be touched to join you on your path to healing. Kundalini Yoga is wonderfully holistic and specialised for all therapeutic needs. I have experience working one to one with clients coming to terms with abuse, addiction, eating disorders, bereavement and other traumas, as well as clients who simply want a special class that meets their physical needs. I also teach yoga on the wonderfully inspiring Green Cuisine courses and retreats run by the award-winning chef and nutritionist Daphne Lambert at Penhros Court.
